Why National Joint Introduction?

Due to the large flow of new medical devices, all regions face challenges in evaluating and determining the relevance of each new product. Collaboration is therefore needed to achieve equal, cost-effective and effective use of medical technology products on a national level.

National joint introduction aims to systematically implement new evidence-based knowledge and develop health care. While innovation continuously develops health care, the regions have finite resources, which calls for knowledge-based and often difficult priorities. The MTP Council's recommendations helps the regions optimise their finite resources based on an ethical platform.
