Assessment report

Assessment report for Neoatricon (dopamine hydrochloride), 21 March 2024, EMA/260885/2024.

An environmental risk assessment for dopamine based on literature was submitted, but key data such as log Kow values were not experimentally determined, as required. Both initial and refined PECsw values (10 and 4.5 µg/L) exceeded the action limit, though the refined calculation was deemed inappropriate. No PEC/PNEC ratio was provided. The Phase II data did not meet EMA guideline standards. However, given dopamine's natural occurrence and the limited paediatric use, no further data were requested.
