Goserelin

Fass environmental information
Fass environmental information for Zoladex (goserelin) from AstraZeneca (downloaded 2019-07-09).
Hazard
Persistence: "Goserelin acetate is a peptide, that the OECD 301F ... confirms that goserelin acetate is readily biodegradable, i.e. is completely mineralised, in a sewage treatment plant. Therefore, goserelin acetate is not likely to enter the environment and is not predicted to present a significant risk for the environment. These findings are consistent with what would be expected for peptides, which are exempt from having to undertake an Environmental Risk Assessment under European Medicines Agency requirements."
Toxicity: The use of amino acids/peptides/proteins has been considered to result in insignificant environmental
impact.
Risk
The use of amino acids, proteins and peptides is not considered to have any environmental impact.
